Fall of 2023 I worked with Nespresso on their Blue Bottle Collaboration. The brands launched a new capsule that debuted on October 6th, 2023. For the collaboration, I designed the in-store tasting bars (22 Stores), the main tasting event collateral, and the overall communications that customers received surrounding the launch. In addition to design, I art directed the overall look and feel of each tasting bar. Every store has different design stipulations according to the unique space. I worked with the Nespresso team to understand each space, the design constraints, and the deadlines surrounding the launch.

Retail Tasting Bars
I designed three tiers of tasting bars for the 23 Nespresso stores in the US. Each tier represented a different type of tasting bar that would be present in the stores. For Tier I stores, I created a full bar area with wooden finishes, Nespresso | Blue Bottle branded signage, vinyl-wrapped tables/walls, and campaign-branded wall art. I collaborated with an interior designer to select furniture and props that complemented the launch.
For Tier II, we took over a smaller space within the boutique and featured a small bar and a tray with campaign props. Tier III was the most straightforward, featuring a small tray within the boutique that has a capsule holder, sleeve, signage, and a Nespresso machine where guests can make coffee. To indicate the look, feel, and overall placement of each item, I created the mocks shown above for the team.
Little Owl Tasting Event
For the launch party, I created mockups for wall decals, the tasting bar vinyl, and signage that was used at the event. This project had a very tight deadline, and we had to deliver the files within a few days of receiving the specifications. My responsibility was to ensure that the designs fit seamlessly into the event space and complemented each other.
Communications
During the launch process, we had three phases which included the teaser, announcement, and drop. For each phase, I designed a variety of collateral for social media, email, and the website. As the Senior Designer, my responsibility was to ensure that all final edits to the imagery were made, design the web pages and emails for the collaboration, and make sure the brand identity was consistent throughout every piece. I thoroughly reviewed and made final edits to guarantee that everything was accurate and consistent across all platforms.
